Wegmeyers, Fabbioli partner to produce first sparkling strawberry wine

Thanks to a rainy spring and an overabundance of strawberries from last year’s crop, a new agribusiness partnership between Fabbioli Cellars and Wegmeyer Farms will produce a batch of sparkling strawberry wine this year.

Seven Loudoun wineries take gold in prestigious Governor’s Cup Wine Competition

Loudoun wines made up more than one-fifth of the 38 selections earning gold in the annual contest, the judging for which wrapped up last weekend. The 38 gold medal honorees were selected among 432 wines from 95 wineries entered into this year’s competition. All the wines consist of 100 percent Virginia fruit.
